Nora reels from an encounter with a Crazy and the loss of her fiance at the woman's hands, but can she come to terms with everything that has happened, or will revelations drive her over the edge? Inspired by Midnight Sun, book two of the Savage North Chronicles by Lindsey Pogue, Nora takes a peek at a character in the shadows, one determined to find happiness no matter what.

We see a dystopian world formed from an outbreak where survivors gain an exceptional “Ability.” This is seen through the viewpoint of the fractured mind of Nora.

This was a creepy but well written story. It was quite an emotional ride through the tortured main character’s mind. In the beginning I felt sorry for Nora but towards the end things changed. Holly Hill Mangin wrote a fantastic dystopian/apocalyptic psychological thriller. I can’t wait for more from this author.
