For a group of friends, Slaughter Lake is about to earn its name…

It’s been years since Rebecca and her closest college friends vacationed at Slaughter Lake. What once was an annual trip became a distant memory filled with campfires and the peaceful serene landscape of their exclusive vacation spot.
Robin's Review: Slaughter Lake is a freaking trip. It starts all nice and all, and then boom. Blood, guts, gore, oh, and death! Wow, just wow! I read this in one night (yes, at night but with the lights on). It’s funny how you root for the characters, but you know some will die. This well-written freaky horror show will make you squirm in your seat but still turn the page. The descriptions were so vividly written that I gaged a few times. Or maybe that’s just me. I absolutely loved this book. Excellent job, Gentlemen.

When a terrorist has something to hide, nothing else matters.
The innocent and the sinful are equally in danger. Even the worst men on the planet cannot guess his secret. This is the prelude to a series featuring gunfights and international intrigue and romance spanning continents and generations.
Robin's Review: Assassin's Secret is a short story or possibly a novella. Since it is so short, I will not go into the details. However, it was a quick and easy read with action and adventure. The characters are well-written and exciting. The plot was entertaining and different from John Keillor's previous books. I see this becoming a long series with many books, and I look forward to it.

It was my pleasure to receive a free copy of this book, but that does not affect my opinions in this review of this entertaining story.

Welcome to the Crescent Motel, a waypoint in a post-apocalyptic no man's land.
At the helm are Darrell, the middle-aged mustachioed manager, and his danger-sniffing dog Bruno. When he and the motel's housekeeper, Nance, discover one of the guests dead, they decide to keep the body under wraps until they root out the killer. But before they have a chance, two mysterious men appear, looking for answers. When the first body disappears and is replaced by another, Darrell and Nance realize they're in over their heads.
Robin's Review: This is the first book in this series and I can’t wait for next one. It is a freaky and fun read centered around a hotel and it’s guests in a post-apocalyptic world. A well written and easy to read short story with a mystery to solve. It was quite entertaining and a different type of genre for A.R. Shaw but definitely worth the read. I highly recommend.

When the world’s balance of magical power takes a sudden nasty turn, a lonely 13-year-old orphan boy who knows nothing about magic is called upon to save the town he’s been desperately trying to escape.

Thirteen generations ago, Goff’s ancestor stopped a dark wizard from performing an ancient ritual to become invincible. Now, due to magical laws, Goff is the only one who can stop the present-day counterpart from performing the same ritual in Spraksville on Halloween night.
Robin's Review: Misfit's Magic: The Last Halloween is a coming-of-age young adult book that is an excellent read for all ages. It is a well-written story with fantastic world-building, extraordinary characters, and underlying life lessons. The story is easy to follow and very entertaining.

I highly recommend this book to everyone. Whether you're looking for an exciting story, some great life lessons, or just want to escape into a fantastical world, Misfit's Magic: The Last Halloween is the perfect choice for you.

The Agency is recruiting brave souls to solve the murder of Sara Duncan. This mission has a high probability of vector contact. Survival is not guaranteed, and neither is your sanity. Welcome to the depths of shadow and madness.
Ghost Team spearheads the operation, led by Emmerich Steiner. What was meant to be an investigation leads them into a web of terror run by demonically possessed individuals and their willing servants. Em, along with his brothers Badrick and Fredrick, his fiancée and second in command, Callisto, and the rookies Calvin and Evan, battle the forces of darkness in a brutal life or death struggle.
Robin's Review: Guy Quintero has done a great job integrating a ton of creatures into this story without making it feel overdone. Nothing is off-limits in this debut novel. The world-building is rich and descriptive, without any unnecessary words. There are a lot of acronyms, but they're easily explained through the rookie's eyes.

The plot focuses on Ghost Team, a badass team of soldiers who work for the USA - Unholy Slaying Agency. It's their job to eliminate supernatural monsters that plague the world. There are Lycanthropes, Ghouls, Zombies, and more – Oh My!

It crosses many genres and has everything you could want in a book. I loved the little Easter eggs he writes into the story, like, Roanoke.

The next in the series is Book Two: The Cannibal Peaks. This title will be released on October 18, 2022.
