RATED N for Nightmares

The book is full of dark, scary short poems with black and white pictures to go along with the poems. I don’t know what age group it would be suitable but I found it eriely entertaining and a bunch of fun.

The greatest power one can possess doesn’t come from light or darkness, but from a place of love.

When Charisse and Draxen meet shortly after the peace proclamation in the galaxy, they discover the fighting is far from done. In search of answers, they unite efforts against fate, risking their lives for each other.

The most well known White Templar healer in the galaxy, Charisse Tarren, always felt a piece was missing in her life—her identity and a mystery of darkness. A darkness that she should be able to control. Raised as an orphan by the templars, she lets a vision of family lure her in with the promise of an important discovery in Ruesha.

Lord Draxen Harett, a member of the Dark Circle, is the one initiating the first peace treaty in the galaxy after hundreds of years of war. His parents’ spirits appear before him, sending him to a forgotten world, Ruesha according to his spirits, he was supposed to witness a major event and reflect, as well as act upon, his actions to determine the future of peace of the galaxy. But what he finds is Charisse Tarren in a bit of trouble. As they work together to survive they become closer in understanding each other’s life paths.

Two very different and powerful people from opposite backgrounds and teachings. A quest for identity, a misunderstanding, and a revelation that will rock a centuries old perception to its core.

It doesn’t get better than that. The story is well written with intense world building. The characters are strong and relatable which makes you root for them throughout the story. It is fast paced, and action filled so much so that you can’t and won’t want to put it down. You will want to read the whole series.

Heart Freely Given is a stand alone novella.

Unlucky at love, vampire Greta Greyson considers that to be her lot in life. Her past
relationships had all gone up in flames. No more bad romances for her.

After a promising promotion, Greta holds a top position in the most prominent household in the
world. She will do whatever it takes to succeed and bury her shameful past in the hard, cold
ground.

Sent on a special mission to find Bren Jacobi, human leader of the former Resistance Against
Vampires, but what Greta finds is a powerful mutual attraction with Bren.

Human/vampire relationships are forbidden, but like moths to a flame, they are irresistibly drawn
to each other. After Bren’s new offer of employment has him living in the same estate as Greta, they can’t get enough of each other.

Faced with exposure, and other heartbreaking pitfalls, Greta will do whatever it takes to protect
the man she loves.

I really loved this book and found it to be a great read, but who doesn't love a great taboo story about humans and vampires. The characters are sexy and their relationships are complex. The plot is fast paced and full of action, it had me reaching for the next page flip.

A Young Adult Paranormal Thriller
by Elizabeth J. Rekab

Scream, Blockbuster Video and an ouija board
sure, do bring back memories.

An escape like no other. Can Mel discover the truth of her abilities before the ghosts claim her as their own? Melissa Lowery is failing physics, shunned by the cheerleading squad, and crushing on her best friend, Aaron, who has an annoyingly beautiful girlfriend. Oh yeah, and she sees the ghost of her dead father. Talk about screwed up.
Soon, a fellow ghost seer named Seth convinces Mel to test her abilities in a haunted cabin where he introduces her to a whole new world. Literally. He teaches Mel how to slip into the realm the ghosts come from—a vivid, euphoric place called "The Veil" that sure as hell beats Jaxonville. But when the living in town start going crazy and the dead whisper about a mysterious Shadow Man, Mel realizes that the Veil may hide more secrets than she realizes... secrets that she must uncover before the whole town is consumed by darkness.

Set in 1997, The Ghost Junkies is a nostalgia-filled, paranormal thrill ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end.

A coming-of-age story based around a young woman coming into her powers of seeing ghosts. I love it love it love it! What can I say except it is a well written story with achingly pleasant characters that are so relatable and fun. The friendship of Mel and Aaron is strong and full of trust. The idea for the story was fresh and enticing. The thought of seeing ghosts is quiet chilling. It was easy and fast paced with a twist at the end. It was a superbly entertaining read. Multiple 5 stars.

She has turned into my newest favorite author. I will be buying all her books no matter what they are about.

A very enticing, thorough story from beginning to end with a fascinating take on an age-old scenario of good versus evil. It was full of gripping page turning suspense. The story was so refreshing and descriptive, the characters were realistic and well thought out. What an exciting first book in the series. I really enjoy Stanfield’s writing and look forward to anything else he may write in future. I would recommend this series.

Do you believe in life after death?

How about multiple personalities?

Have you ever heard the saying, “you’ve been here before"?

"The Soul Within” when you think you know someone.

Do you believe in reincarnation? Tasha didn’t at first. This was a quick and easy read. It was a fast-paced short story involving a couple and how their souls were intertwined with others from the past.

While it was a short story, it did have an intriguing plot with a twist. The author leaves the reader interested in what comes next. Hopefully she will expand this into more stories.
