In an ancient nation, a familial clan system replaces royalty and aristocracy whilst instead of gods, the people worship the very essence of human vitality, ingenuity, regality, and justice, finding spiritual power within their own souls. Four siblings, young polymaths and warriors, aspire to climb to greatness within this society. However, as they come of age, they realise that their people have lost this essence. Forced into a sick, needlessly violent, and socially degrading world, the members of Clan Zhakkari are faced with the dilemma of whether to save a people who seem content with destruction. They must learn to survive and thrive in a land of power, pride, brutal barbarity, and cruel conspiracies.

“Clan Zhakkari” by Jason Boje throws you into a gripping dystopian world where trust is a luxury. Boje’s rich world-building paints a vivid picture of a post-apocalyptic society, while the Zhakkari clan navigates a web of uncertainty. The characters are real and flawed, making them relatable as they face thrilling challenges. If you’re a fantasy fan craving an immersive read, this one’s for you. Highly recommended!
