Kaia lived a life of privilege—until her father’s execution left her fleeing a vindictive king and council. Placing her trust in four unlikely heroes, Kaia must discover just how deep the truth has been buried in the Kingdom of Adaria — and why. For the sake of a desperate kingdom. Her own sake. And the sake of the men who sacrificed everything in order to protect her.

But what happens when they find themselves tangled in a web of lies and deceit? One filled with secrets, betrayal, and... broken promises.

A Court of Broken Promises is book one in the Kingdom of Adaria series. There is humor throughout but contains adult themes and situations. Intended for mature audiences. Please see the author's website for trigger warnings.
Robin's Review: Check Your Triggers😊
If there is a book that is a must-read, then this is it. This book is an absolute page-turner, packed with gripping action right from the start. As the story unravels, secrets, lies, and broken promises (yup, I know) emerge, leaving me hungry for more.

The slow burn throughout the book is so incredibly intense that I am turning the pages in a” just one more page” kinda thing. It was truly an intoxicating story that formed an addiction quite early and quickly into the book. I am not going to summarize the story because you, as a reader, need to have a blank slate going into this book. You need to feel what I felt while reading it, not with my little “takes’ to cloud your experience.

So, grab a beverage and your favorite snuggly piece, and go to your reading nook to while away the hours and fall into this new and exciting world with some “hubba hubba” guys.
I highly recommend this book, series, and author and ask quite urgently to Ms. Michaels: please hurry with the next book, um, pretty please.
It was my pleasure to receive a free ARC copy of this book, but that does not in any way affect my opinions in this review of this entertaining story.
