Daisy Chain
by Julia Vaughan

In 2009, the body of five-year-old Daisy Prospero was found. Her killer has never been caught. Flash forward ten years and a cold case unit has formed to take another look at the case.

Chief Superintendent Lenny Howard asks Detective Chief Inspector Kath Fortune to head up the new cold case team. These team members that pour over the files, Detective Sergeant Ruth Goodwin, Detective Sergeant Shirley Thompson, Detective Constable Marvin Henshall, and Lane Petreus—a psychic who had helped them out on previous cases. Byron Lord has the civilian position with a degree in Computer Sciences & Technology. Justice for the dead and their families. That was all that mattered at the end of the day. That was what they all strived for: results and closure.

I absolutely loved this book. It had everything you need in a book through multiple genres. Action, yup. Mystery, yup. Thriller and crime, it’s in there. The characters and scenarios were realistic. I could not put this book down. I had to see how it ended. Of course, it ended with me out a night’s sleep, but oh well it was worth it.
